The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,237.02), 16% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ansel Adams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Grand Tetons and the Snake River, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 988,000.00 (€ 807,849.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Georgia O'Keeffe at the Ghost Ranch, Abiquiu, New Mexico, 1937 von Ansel Adams wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion Ansel Adams and the American West: Photographs from the Center for Creative Photography bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.237,02) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ansel Adams erzielen.
