Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Frozen Lake and Cliffs, The Sierra Nevada, California, 1932 by Ansel Adams was sold in the Adams & Company: Photographs of the American West Including Property from the Peter Fetterman Collection auction at Christies in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 18,900.00 (€ 17,612.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ansel Adams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Grand Tetons and the Snake River, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 988,000.00 (€ 807,849.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Frozen Lake and Cliffs, The Sierra Nevada, California, 1932 von Ansel Adams wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Adams & Company: Photographs of the American West Including Property from the Peter Fetterman Collection bei Christies in New York versteigert.
