In the The Range of Light: Photographs by Ansel Adams auction, the work Frozen Lake And Cliffs, Kaweah Gap, Sequoia National Park, 1927 sold for USD 32,500.00 (€ 23,431.87) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ansel Adams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Grand Tetons and the Snake River, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 988,000.00 (€ 807,849.55).
