It achieved a price of USD 15,120.00 (€ 13,471.13), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ansel Adams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Grand Tetons and the Snake River, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 988,000.00 (€ 807,849.55).

Die Arbeit ‘Flower, Half Dome, Yosemite Valley’ (Cow Parsnip) von Ansel Adams kam im Februar letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 15.120,00 (€ 13.471,13) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ansel Adams erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Grand Tetons and the Snake River, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 988.000,00 (€ 807.849,55).
