This artwork by Ansel Adams achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in February last year. In the A Grand Vision: The David H. Arrington Collection of Ansel Adams Photographs auction, the work 'Canyon De Chelly National Monument, Arizona' sold for USD 107,100.00 (€ 95,420.53) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ansel Adams have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Grand Tetons and the Snake River, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 988,000.00 (€ 807,849.55).

Arrington Collection of Ansel Adams Photographs wurde die Arbeit 'Canyon De Chelly National Monument, Arizona' für USD 107.100,00 (€ 95.420,53) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00.
