In February last year Christies in New York held the auction Outsider Art, which included the work Untitled (Plant) by Anna Zemankova. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,023.16), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anna Zemankova - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Flowers), which sold at auction in February last year for USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,501.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Februar letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Outsider Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Plant) von Anna Zemankova zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.023,16) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Anna Zemankova mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Flowers) beobachtet, die im Februar letzten Jahres für USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.501,07) versteigert wurde.
