Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Six views of St Petersburg: Peterhof, Samson fountain; Petersburg, Mining University; Petersburg, a barge with the fortress beyond; Petersburg, colonnade of the Kazan Cathedral; Pavlovsk, Paul I of Russia; and Petersburg, Biron Palace with barges by Anna Ostroumova-Lebedeva was sold in the Russian Art auction at Christies in London in June 2017. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,694.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anna Ostroumova-Lebedeva achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work First Snow in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 446,100.00 (€ 624,655.41).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.694,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anna Ostroumova-Lebedeva erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit First Snow im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 446.100,00 (€ 624.655,41).
