This artwork by Anna Louisa Swynnerton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2007. In the British & Continental Paintings auction, the work Joan Of Arc sold for GBP 14,300.00 (€ 20,535.74) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Anna Louisa Swynnerton; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Joan Of Arc sold at auction in December 2006 with the realized price of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,180.90).
