Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Christies in London held the auction Modern/British Art Online, which included the work Switzerland by Angus Fairhurst. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,256.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Angus Fairhurst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Couple of Differences Between Thinking and Feeling II in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 118,750.00 (€ 137,829.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern/British Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Switzerland von Angus Fairhurst zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.256,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Angus Fairhurst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Couple of Differences Between Thinking and Feeling II im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 118.750,00 (€ 137.829,53).
