In the The Greek Sale auction, the work Nature morte aux fruits sold for EUR 7,012.50 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Angelos Panayotou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Greek Mother And Child in May 2009 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,459.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Angelos Panayotou erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Greek Sale wurde die Arbeit Nature morte aux fruits für EUR 7.012,50 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Angelos Panayotou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Greek Mother And Child im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.459,72).
