In March 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work The Goddess Diana With A Lion by Angelo von Courten. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,421.86), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Angelo von Courten have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Déesse Diane Et Un Lion in June 2020 with an auction result of EUR 39,000.00.

Im März 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Goddess Diana With A Lion von Angelo von Courten zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.421,86) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Angelo von Courten auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Déesse Diane Et Un Lion im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 39.000,00.
