Despite a disappointment, a good price for Angelo Trevisani
When the work The Sacrifice of Isaac by Angelo Trevisani was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 18,750.00 (€ 17,104.54). Despite this disappointing result, The Sacrifice of Isaac is the most expensive artwork by Angelo Trevisani that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit The Sacrifice of Isaac von Angelo Trevisani im Oktober 2016 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 18.750,00 (€ 17.104,54) den Besitzer.
