Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Canale Veneziano by Angelo Pavan was auctioned at Sothebys in Milan in December 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Angelo Pavan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venezia, Rio San Giuseppe in June 2006 with an auction result of EUR 19,840.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Canale Veneziano von Angelo Pavan im Dezember 2007 bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 2.500,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Angelo Pavan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Venezia, Rio San Giuseppe im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 19.840,00.
