However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Angelo Maria Rossi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grapes, pears, apples and roses on a white cloth, with figs, grapes and other fruit and mushrooms on a forest floor; and Pomegranates, pears, quinces, apples, plums and figs on a forest floor, which sold at auction in July 2003 for GBP 22,705.00 (€ 29,676.97).
