Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cafetera by Angel Acosta León was sold in the Latin American Sale auction at Christies in New York in May 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,055.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Angel Acosta León have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cristo in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 33,560.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cafetera von Angel Acosta León wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion Latin American Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.055,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Angel Acosta León auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cristo im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 33.560,91).
