However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ange-Joseph-Antoine Roux - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An important series of twenty-two watercolours depicting various traditional craft operating in Mediterranean coastal waters and a fine view of the imposing entrance to the port of Marseilles, on eleven double sided sheets, bound into a red leather a, which sold at auction in May 2005 for GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,57
