Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Tina Chow, 1985 by Andy Warhol for GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,543.15). This price was achieved in the auction PHOTOGRAPHS FROM THE COLLECTION OF JAMES DANZIGER at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Tina Chow, 1985 von Andy Warhol für GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.543,15) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion PHOTOGRAPHS FROM THE COLLECTION OF JAMES DANZIGER bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andy Warhol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shot Sage Blue Marilyn im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 195.040.000,00 (€ 181.753.797,41).
