It achieved a price of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,673.98), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 43%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andrei Sharov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pink Nude, which sold at auction in November 2014 for USD 53,125.00 (€ 42,711.85).

Die Arbeit Anthony Hopkins von Andrei Sharov wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.673,98) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 43%. Für andere Arbeiten von Andrei Sharov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pink Nude beobachtet, die im November 2014 für USD 53.125,00 (€ 42.711,85) versteigert wurde.
