Despite a disappointment, a good price for Andrei Andreevich Tutunov
When the work Spring Waters by Andrei Andreevich Tutunov was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,446.17). Despite this disappointing result, Spring Waters is the most expensive artwork by Andrei Andreevich Tutunov that we have observed at auction so far.
