Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A tromp l'oeil of two paintings and two letters by Andrea Domenico Remps was sold in the Old Masters & British Paintings auction at Christies in London in October 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,841.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrea Domenico Remps achieve.
