This work of art by André Maire could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the SOUTHEAST ASIAN PICTURES auction, the work Le retour de la chasse (Return from the hunt) changed hands for HKD 10,755.00 (€ 1,395.40) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 12,000.00 – 16,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by André Maire achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scène de plage in July 2021 with an auction result of EUR 18,900.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von André Maire konnte im Oktober 2002 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion SOUTHEAST ASIAN PICTURES wechselte die Arbeit Le retour de la chasse (Return from the hunt) für HKD 10.755,00 (€ 1.395,40) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 12.000,00 – 16.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von André Maire erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scène de plage im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.900,00.
