Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Hip Hop, which included the work "Faces Of '97" Original Artwork And Prefatory Sketches, 1997 by André LeRoy Davis. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,820.00 (€ 7,526.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by André LeRoy Davis have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2020 the work Original Artwork For "Ya On Point Phyfe?", 1996. was auctioned for USD 9,450.00 (€ 8,064.52).

Im September 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Hip Hop durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Faces Of '97" Original Artwork And Prefatory Sketches, 1997 von André LeRoy Davis zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.820,00 (€ 7.526,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von André LeRoy Davis konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2020 die Arbeit Original Artwork For "Ya On Point Phyfe?", 1996. für USD 9.450,00 (€ 8.064,52) versteigert.
