In the Tableaux 1400-1900 auction, the work Le catafalque du Pape dans la Chapelle Sixtine sold for EUR 8,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by André Giroux - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Das Castel dell'Ovo in Neapel., which sold at auction in December 2020 for EUR 22,500.00.
