The work Lampe de Bureau, Vers 1940 by André Arbus was sold in the Intérieurs auction at Christies in Paris in June 2006. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 3,840.00. Admittedly, works by André Arbus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Pair Of Armchairs, Circa 1935 in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 38,106.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Lampe de Bureau, Vers 1940 von André Arbus wurde im Juni 2006 in der Auktion Intérieurs bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 3.840,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von André Arbus auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Pair Of Armchairs, Circa 1935 im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 38.106,99).
