Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Lilly Eberhard Anheuser by Anders Leonard Zorn was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 123,750.00 (€ 93,977.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anders Leonard Zorn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Söndagsmorgon" (Sunday morning) in December 2021 with an auction result of SEK 30,000,000.00 (€ 2,926,312.07).
