Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Fantasi II" by Anders Engman was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in October last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 1,600.00 (€ 146.41). Admittedly, works by Anders Engman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Fotbollsbalett", 1958 in May 2012 with an auction result of SEK 13,500.00 (€ 1,425.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Fantasi II" von Anders Engman im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 1.600,00 (€ 146,41) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anders Engman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Fotbollsbalett", 1958 im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 13.500,00 (€ 1.425,99).
