In July 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Bodegón by Ana Mercedes Hoyos. The result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 33,973.16) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ana Mercedes Hoyos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bodegón de Palenque in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 212,500.00 (€ 182,090.83).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bodegón von Ana Mercedes Hoyos zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 33.973,16) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ana Mercedes Hoyos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bodegón de Palenque im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 212.500,00 (€ 182.090,83).
