Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2003 Christies in London held the auction Important Gold Boxes,Objects of Vertu & Portrait Miniatures, which included the work A young lady with dark brown hair, her head and shoulders in white clouds by Amélie D'Aubigny. The price achieved of GBP 478.00 (€ 677.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Amélie D'Aubigny have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Roses, primroses, and a butterfly on a stone ledge in May last year with an auction result of USD 4,845.00 (€ 4,514.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion Important Gold Boxes,Objects of Vertu & Portrait Miniatures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A young lady with dark brown hair, her head and shoulders in white clouds von Amélie D'Aubigny zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 478,00 (€ 677,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Amélie D'Aubigny auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Roses, primroses, and a butterfly on a stone ledge im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.845,00 (€ 4.514,96).
