Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2017 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Amelia Peláez for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,354.18). This price was achieved in the auction Latin America at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Amelia Peláez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Las Hermanas in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 569,000.00 (€ 438,096.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2017 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Amelia Peláez für USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.354,18) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin America bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Amelia Peláez erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Las Hermanas im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 569.000,00 (€ 438.096,70).
