Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Jarrón by Amelia Peláez was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 21,250.00 (€ 18,912.42). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Amelia Peláez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Las Hermanas in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 569,000.00 (€ 438,096.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Jarrón von Amelia Peláez wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 21.250,00 (€ 18.912,42) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Amelia Peláez erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Las Hermanas im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 569.000,00 (€ 438.096,70).
