Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work A rest by the inn by Amelia Goddard for GBP 360.00 (€ 530.89). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Amelia Goddard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The orange sellers in June last year with an auction result of GBP 16,575.00 (€ 19,255.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A rest by the inn von Amelia Goddard für GBP 360,00 (€ 530,89) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Amelia Goddard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The orange sellers im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.575,00 (€ 19.255,44).
