Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni, which included the work The Grand Canal by Amédée Rosier. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 31,250.00 (€ 23,893.26). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Amédée Rosier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French View Of Constantinople, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 43,700.00 (€ 55,588.31).
