The work Uprising by Amar Nath Sehgal was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2020. It achieved a price of USD 45,000.00 (€ 40,801.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Admittedly, works by Amar Nath Sehgal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nari in March last year with an auction result of USD 277,200.00 (€ 249,887.32).

Die Arbeit Uprising von Amar Nath Sehgal kam im März 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 45.000,00 (€ 40.801,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Amar Nath Sehgal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nari im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 277.200,00 (€ 249.887,32).
