A top price for Alvise Vivarini
In December 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work Saint Ursula by Alvise Vivarini. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 333,000.00 (€ 374,742.72), 67% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Saint Ursula the most expensive artwork by Alvise Vivarini that we have observed at auctions so far.
