Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art, which included the work Madonna And Child by Álvaro Pires de Évora. The price achieved of USD 120,000.00 (€ 92,321.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Álvaro Pires de Évora - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Annunciation, which sold at auction in February 2018 for USD 435,000.00 (€ 356,236.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Madonna And Child von Álvaro Pires de Évora zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 120.000,00 (€ 92.321,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Álvaro Pires de Évora mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Annunciation beobachtet, die im Februar 2018 für USD 435.000,00 (€ 356.236,18) versteigert wurde.
