This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mariano Alonso Pérez y Villagrosa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The entertainer at Les Halles, Paris, which sold at auction in June 2004 for GBP 19,120.00 (€ 28,456.29).
