This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Mariano Alonso Pérez y Villagrosa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The entertainer at Les Halles, Paris in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 19,120.00 (€ 28,456.29).
