Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Czech Interior With Stairs (Interiér Se Schody) by Alois Wachsman was sold in the Czech Avant-Garde Art from the Roy and Mary Cullen Collection auction at Sothebys in London in November 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 785.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alois Wachsman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Czech standing Woman in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 106,420.20).

Die Arbeit Czech Interior With Stairs (Interiér Se Schody) von Alois Wachsman wurde im November 2014 in der Auktion Czech Avant-Garde Art from the Roy and Mary Cullen Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 785,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
