In December 2005 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures, which included the work A Rabbi in his study by Alois Heinrich Priechenfried. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,417.33), 71% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Alois Heinrich Priechenfried have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Yeshiva boy reading in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 65,000.00 (€ 73,003.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 71 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Rabbi in his study von Alois Heinrich Priechenfried zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.417,33) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alois Heinrich Priechenfried auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Yeshiva boy reading im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 65.000,00 (€ 73.003,36).
