In December this year Bonhams in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Online Sale, which included the work Mezzo Mural by Allen Jones. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 15,360.00 (€ 17,694.13), 54% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Allen Jones achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hatstand, Table And Chair (I) Hatstand (Ii) Table (Iii) Chair in February 2013 with an auction result of GBP 2,169,250.00 (€ 2,519,706.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 54 % übertroffen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mezzo Mural von Allen Jones zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 15.360,00 (€ 17.694,13) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Allen Jones erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hatstand, Table And Chair (I) Hatstand (Ii) Table (Iii) Chair im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.169.250,00 (€ 2.519.706,86).
