Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Bonhams in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Online Sale, which included the work Mezzo Mural by Allen Jones. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,040.00 (€ 8,109.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Allen Jones achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hatstand, Table And Chair (I) Hatstand (Ii) Table (Iii) Chair in February 2013 with an auction result of GBP 2,169,250.00 (€ 2,519,706.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mezzo Mural von Allen Jones zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.040,00 (€ 8.109,81) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Allen Jones erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hatstand, Table And Chair (I) Hatstand (Ii) Table (Iii) Chair im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.169.250,00 (€ 2.519.706,86).
