Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Allan Clark could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work 'Yang Kwei Fwei' changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 919.05) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Allan Clark achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Forever Young and Forever Panting: A Pair of Works in May this year with an auction result of USD 24,320.00 (€ 22,827.11).
