This artwork by Alireza Espahbod achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in April 2012. In the Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II auction, the work Crows sold for USD 27,500.00 (€ 20,787.66) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alireza Espahbod; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Crows sold at auction in October 2007 with the realized price of USD 51,400.00 (€ 35,526.68).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alireza Espahbod erzielte im April 2012 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II wurde die Arbeit Crows für USD 27.500,00 (€ 20.787,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Alireza Espahbod; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Crows im Oktober 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 51.400,00 (€ 35.526,68).
