Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alfredo Camisa could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Masterworks of Italian Photography 1945-1975 From the Collection of Paolo Morello auction, the work Uomini di Sicilia (Men of Sicily), 1957 changed hands for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,095.60) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfredo Camisa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Studies Of Italian Life, 1950S, which sold at auction in October 2013 for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,864.94).
