In July 2014 Christies in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Flowers by Alfred Wolmark. The result of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,891.97) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Wolmark achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Disputation in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 67,250.00 (€ 82,845.18).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flowers von Alfred Wolmark zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.891,97) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Wolmark erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Disputation im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 67.250,00 (€ 82.845,18).
