Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 872.35 (€ 1,305.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alfred Vickers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sandown Bay; On the Medina, Newport, Isle of Wight in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 5,736.00 (€ 8,234.11).
