A top price for Alfred Thompson - as previously expected
In March 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work At the stile by Alfred Thompson. The price achieved of GBP 576.00 (€ 847.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, At the stile is the most expensive artwork by Alfred Thompson that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im März 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit At the stile von Alfred Thompson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 576,00 (€ 847,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist At the stile das teuerste Kunstwerk von Alfred Thompson, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
