This work of art by Alfred Stevens could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Monte Carlo changed hands for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,706.41) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Stevens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Symphonie en vert in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 657,250.00 (€ 790,269.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfred Stevens konnte im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit Monte Carlo für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.706,41) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Stevens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Symphonie en vert im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 657.250,00 (€ 790.269,07).
