The work Belgian rêverie by Alfred Stevens was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2018. The result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 44,563.55) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Stevens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Symphonie en vert in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 657,250.00 (€ 790,269.07).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Belgian rêverie von Alfred Stevens kam im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 44.563,55) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Stevens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Symphonie en vert im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 657.250,00 (€ 790.269,07).
