Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Tea In A Sunlit Glade by Alfred Roll for GBP 2,390.00 (€ 3,537.23). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Alfred Roll have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in August 2004 by the work Flower Pickers In A Summer Meadow at GBP 2,987.50 (€ 4,421.54).
